Cells season resumes Saturday
Bob Buckner

After an extremely hot, boring game on Easter Sunday against Madagascar (one the Cells won 10-0, a rather unfair game), the Cells will resume their season back in Westborough. This is great news for the Cells as this is the field in which the games become truly real. “It’ll be great to return to Westborough,” said Tigger, who didn’t play on Easter, “we definitely have our best games over there.”

It’s certainly not a mystery why the Cells enjoy playing their so much. While right field is a nightmare, the dimensions of field increase the competitiveness. The bases are far enough apart to run, there’s a lot of playable balls off the large left field wall and the field jets out to center, with an actual fence, which makes the prospect of a home run AWESOME.

The Cells will most likely get two gets in on Saturday and neither will be a cake walk. In the first game they travel to Bear Country to face Janitor Bear. He’s 2-2 with a 2.70 ERA and a league leading 93 K’s. The Cells bats will have to be patient and force him out of the game as BC’s bullpen is the worst in the league. Bear Country is 2-5.
